Q10 is bred by Magnus Eriksson S*
Charolai's Cornish Rex in Tystberga about 1 hour by car
south of Stockholm in Sweden. She is rather oldfashionedin type
with lots of soft and cuddly coat. She's got a beautiful, straight
profile and very warm coat colour, although I would have preferred
more rexing.
I soon realized that Q10 was "my cat" when the breeder
talked about the kittens, and I fell in love when I saw the first
photograph; she is only 1 or 2 weeks old, but looks straight into
the camera lens.
Q10 behaves very much like a dog, combined with a sweet, gentle
and laid back nature. She hardly does anything wrong, except from
backing into the flowerpots so they break as they hit the floor.
She has managed to get rid of most of the pots that way!
Q10 soon realized that water could be grouse, as she fell into
the wc the first week in her new home; fortunately with her hind
legs first, so it was only her pride that was hurt, as I had to
bathe her afterwards! Q10 is my own funny little "Vitamin"
and she's very charming doing things her own ways....
Her favourites are food, the dogs and me - most likely in that
order too. This isn't a good combination with shows, so she's always
on a diet, and I hope she will reach a proper "match-weight"
one day. Mind you this isn't easy, as she steals dog food, takes
the lid of the jar with dog biscuits (and share with the dogs so
they wont't tell on her?) or even removes the lid of the tin with
cat food. Maybe opening a padlock will be next? There sure isn't
anything wrong with her intelligence!!!
Q10 has had two litters - my first litter in June 2001 and
her second and my third in July 2002. She's been a true supermum
and loves taking care of her kittens!!!
Unfortunately she
was spayed due to pyometra in May 2004, so my dream about keeping a kitten after Q10 and Norman wasn't fulfilled... I just hope she will enjoy being "Auntie Q10" to the other's kittens in due time, sweet natured and kind as she is!
